  1. The scene through the window looks like a washed out photograph and the empty landscape echoes the ruin of the house. I wonder where the people who lived here are now. Was there just one wall left in the house?

    The scene is a bit more confusing than you perceive. The view “through” the window is actually a reflection — the shot was from outside. But I like your interpretation better.
