Plaster Cast Christ

In the V&A’s plaster cast room there’s a reproduction of the central wall of the Schreyer-Landauer Monument showing the entombment of Christ. The original work is on the exterior of the apse of the church of St. Sebaldus in Nuremberg, Germany. It was sculpted in the late 15th century by Adam Kraft and the plaster cast at the V&A was probably made around 1872.
