I put film through more than a dozen different cameras this year, but the one that saw the most action by far is . . .

The Nikon F80. In the U.S. it’s known as the N80 for reasons only Nikon probably understands. No matter, I put a lot of film through mine and found it to be a superb travel companion during my most recent visit to Iceland. Although Nikon stopped making and selling it almost 20 years ago, the F80 a was new to me having purchased it last March.
I’ll have a lot more to say about the Nikon F80 in an upcoming review.

Hi,
I have been using a Nikon (N80) for several years now. I bought it in an antique store with a 28-100 Nikkor AF lens. It has become a constant companion during many photo-outings and has NEVER let me down. I have many other Nikon cameras but this is one of my favorites. I enjoy your postings….Take care and have GOOD LIGHT.
Thanks Ben — and good light to you as well.
Hi,
I randomly obtained a near-mint F75 with a battery grip, a flash and a 24-70 f/3.5-5.6 years ago. It’s been my first and only Nikon camera and to my surprise, it’s one of the cameras I would never want to part with.
Good light
Hi Tomas:
I recently picked up one of those as well and am running my first roll through it just now. So far, I’m really enjoying it — quite a bit lighter than the F80.
Thanks!
