This was my latest darkroom print project. (The image above is a scan of the negative, not the print — the print’s nicer.) It was an easy negative to work with, thanks to the limited tonal range of the subject. It’s funny how things go though. I shot this a few years ago and dismissed it in my initial evaluation of the roll. Now I quite like it. I guess that goes to show that first impressions aren’t entirely reliable. Good thing there’s no “delete” button on a film camera!

I’ve had Iceland on the mind lately. Perhaps its news of a possible impending volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula, or maybe it’s because I’m working on a print from one of my trips to Iceland in the darkroom. In any case, I hope to get back soon once travel becomes a “thing” again.
