Store Closed!

Yates Street, Victoria, B.C. (Camera: Kodak Retina IIIc; Film: Kodak Ektar 100)

Where is the Cool?

Why don’t we have cars like this any more? I’m not a car guy, but even I can see most modern cars look the same. Will anyone look back on your Toyota Corolla or your Mazda 3 in 60 years and say, “man, what a cool car!” I doubt it.

Nearly Gone

Johnson Street, Victoria, B.C.
(Camera: Minolta Hi-Matic SD; Film: Ilford XP2 Super 400)

This house is one of the last of its kind in this part of Johnson Street and is slated for demolition. Probably that means more condos. No none is likely to mourn its demise though, but it is part of a general change in the urban landscape of this part of town.
